Simply Homemade Healthy Eating Guidelines
The suggested guidelines below are based upon an individual serving size of 6-10oz of a main dish. All Simply Homemade menu offerings are based upon 6 servings unless otherwise noted.
Fat- of your total daily calories, less than 30% of calories should come fat and less than 10% of calories from saturated fat.
Cholesterol- total cholesterol should be less than 300mg/day. Suggested quantity per referenced serving- 120mg.
Sodium -total sodium should be less than 2300mg/day. Suggested quantity per referenced serving - 720mg.
Any entrees meeting these guidelines will be noted with a heart icon in the description.

January Menu
Beef Cassoulet We have taken some liberties on this French dish but we don’t think that you will mind. Stew meat is baked in the oven with potatoes, carrots, great northern beans, diced tomatoes and spices. Omit beans to make more kid-friendly if desired.
Chicken Pizziola with a Side of Green Beans – Simply Spectacular, Limit 1 Mama Mia! You will love these chicken breasts coated in our crispy parmesan breading and then baked and topped with pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese. Serve with green beans provided.
New! Pork Chops with Lemon Caper Sauce and a Side of Carrots All natural pork chops are coated with an Italian bread crumb mixture including parmesan cheese and spices then pan fried. Accent these chops with a flavorful sauce of low sodium chicken broth, white wine, lemon juice, lemon zest and capers. Serve with carrots provided.
Chicken and Swiss Stuffing Bake All natural chicken tenders are topped with Swiss cheese, creamy white wine sauce and stuffing then baked for an easy, all-in-one dinner. Convenient, comfort food just right for the season.
Boursin Pasta with a Side of Broccoli – Pre-assembled The ultimate rich and creamy pasta dish. Penne pasta is tossed with a sauce of boursin cheese, neufchatel cheese, parmesan cheese, diced tomatoes, garlic, and basil. Serve with broccoli provided.
Couscous Tilapia Tilapia with a Mediterranean twist. Tilapia fillets are baked with couscous, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red pepper, green olives, garlic and a splash of white wine.
Apricot Glazed Chicken Tenders with a Side of Broccoli All natural chicken tenders are marinated in soy sauce and sesame oil then quickly sauteed and covered with a delightful apricot sauce kissed with orange juice and hoison sauce. Serve with broccoli provided.
Herbed Pork Roast with Baking Potatoes – Pre-assembled A lean, boneless, all natural pork roast is covered in our signature spice rub then baked to perfection. This roasts turns out moist, juicy and crusted with flavor. Serve with baking potatoes provided.
Beef Chili with Corn Muffins Cold days call for a hot bowl of chili. Heartland Meats all natural ground beef simmers on the stovetop (or all day in the crockpot for an even richer flavor) with tomatoes, beans, corn, spices, and a touch of hot sauce.
Crockpot Cantina Chicken and Rice You might find this on the menu of a Mexican cantina, this dish contains all natural chicken with black beans, corn, rice, tomatoes, green chilies, and cheese. Can be made with white or brown rice.
Coconut Shrimp– Simply Spectacular, Limit 1 Our twist on a traditional shrimp dish. A generous amount of jumbo shrimp is coated in spices, flour and then sweetened coconut. This baked not fried shrimp dish is served with over rice with our homemade Mojo Mango sauce.
Teriyaki BBQ Chicken Breasts with a Side of Corn All natural, boneless, skinless chicken breasts are marinated in a teriyaki BBQ sauce consisting of low-sodium soy sauce, ketchup, brown sugar and garlic then baked for a no-fuss taste of the orient dish. Serve with corn provided.
Dijon Pork Medallions with a Side of Mashed Potatoes Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, minced ginger and a hint of bourbon make a bold marinade for tender all natural pork medallions that are quickly cooked on the stovetop. Serve with mashed potatoes provided.

Minestrone Soup with a Bread Loaf – Pre-assembled Our version of a traditional favorite. Diced zucchini, celery, tomatoes, carrots, white northern beans, and mini pasta shells simmer in our zesty tomato broth. Serve with bread loaf provided.
Chicken Noodle Saute We transformed our famous chicken noodle soup into a delicious stovetop dinner that cooks in no time. All natural chicken tenders simmer on the stovetop along with celery, carrots, parsley, marjoram, chicken broth and of course, egg noodles. This lowfat, family-friendly dish will soon be a favorite in your house.
Southwest Pork Wraps Give your tastebuds a kick! Shredded pork in a spicy tomato sauce with black beans and corn all wrapped up in a flour tortilla. Slow cooks in the crockpot. Dinner, that's a wrap!
Margherita Pizza – Pre-assembled A simplistic and flavorful version of an Italian classic. Diced tomatoes, basil and mozzarella cheese will make this an all-family favorite. You'll receive 2 - 12" pizzas.
Pretzel Crusted Chicken Tenders with Side of Baby Carrots – Pre-assembled Crushed pretzels provide a crunchy coating with great kid appeal.
